Event Description

This collaboration between the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and the Office of Faculty Development is the third session of a monthly Clinical Research Methodology series. This session will provide an overview of the design and analysis of clinical studies that aim to evaluate the effects of new treatments or interventions on health outcomes. Topics covered include the different phases of drug development, study designs, sample size determination, and statistical approaches for Phase I, II, and III trials.

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

•Identify the different phases of drug development.

•Contrast Understand the study designs process of Phase I, II, and III trials.

•Recognize Become familiar with common statistical methods for clinical trials.
