The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
Walk-in hours are also available from 8 a.m. to noon and 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday.
For non-life threatening emergencies, contact the Montefiore Psychiatric Emergency Department at 718-920-7460 to be directed to a directed to a psychiatry resident.
Staff
Joseph Battaglia, M.D., director of Einstein’s Student Mental Health Center, is an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral services and deputy director of Einstein’s psychiatry and behavior sciences residency training program. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center.
Ryan DeLapp, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist at Einstein’s Student Mental Health Center and an attending psychologist at Montefiore’s Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Department. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville, where he received intensive training in evidenced-based assessments and cognitive-behavioral therapies for mood, anxiety, and behavioral difficulties in children, adolescents, and young adults. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Montefiore Medical Center, where he received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), and structural family therapies. He received postdoctoral training in CBT for anxiety disorders, especially social anxiety and panic disorders.
