Postdoctoral Position in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research

Job Description:

Postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Gaetano Santulli's laboratory at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.  The Santulli laboratory has interest in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, including heart failure, diabetes mellitus, hypertension and obesity; we are also investigating the translational application into the clinical scenario of non-coding RNAs, epigenetics, and oxidative stress.  The lab is well funded by the NIH and the AHA.

Duties and Responsibilities of the position:
- Design and perform experiments
- Data analysis, interpretation, and presentation
- Report progress regularly
- Write manuscripts and grant applications

Desired Skills;
- Candidates should have completed PhD training or equivalent, and have independent research ability, strong research interest, ambitious scientific goals, and self motivation.
- Hands-on experience with cell cultures, preclinical studies, and statistics
- Ability to work in a research-intensive and fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills
