Professional Activity
Dr. Robles was born in Honduras, came to the South Bronx at the age of 13. As a pre-health scholar, Dr. Robles taught science in New York City public schools. As a medical student, Dr. Robles was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, assisted in a research study of nutrition literacy in the Bronx with Dr. Judith Wylie-Rosett, served as a volunteer and session coordinator for the ECHO student-run free clinic. His areas of interest include caring for marginalized populations, preventive care, nutrition literacy, group medical visits, and mentoring scholars in health careers. Dr. Robles is the Co-founder of the Bronx Community Health Leaders (BxCHL), a pre-health pipeline program for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. He is an Attending Physician in the Department of Family and Social Medicine (DFSM) at Montefiore and an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a preceptor for the Einstein ECHO student-run free clinic and an instructor in the Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM) and the Healers’ Art course.
