Program Dates

Information Regarding Summer 2021: Our highest priorities are the health and safety of our community of students, faculty and staff. We are monitoring the feasibility of running the Einstein-Montefiore Summer High School Research Program for Summer 2021. The decision to hold the program will be based on the published recommendations by the New York State government and the CDC for in-person educational activities. Please check back in the coming months for a possible updates.

Orientation is designed to acclimate you to the Einstein campus, of which you will be a part for the duration of the program. During orientation you will:

  • Meet with the Program Directors to review the program training goals for the summer
  • Learn about leading-edge research of Einstein's Principal Investigators & graduate students
  • Participate in training activities, which will allow you to fully participate in a research laboratory

You will receive further information about your mentor and laboratory at orientation

Program Activities

You will be expected to be in the laboratory every day from approximately 9 a.m. - 5 or 6 p.m. Your attendance will also be required at all the special activities, including faculty seminars. There are no holidays or days off during the summer program, with the exception of July 4. If this full-time schedule does not work well with your plans or your family's plans for the summer you apply for next summer.
