This one-year fellowship consists of intensive exposure to the fields of anatomic and clinical pathology with opportunities for research or training in selected subspecialties of pathology. Fellows will spend a minimum of eight months in the "hands-on" practice of pathology, including rotations in autopsy pathology, surgical pathology, and rotations in clinical pathology including microbiology, hematology, blood banking or chemistry. The remaining four months will be spent in either basic research or in a subspecialty area of pathology. Fellows will attend all the teaching conferences of the Department of Pathology.
Requirements: Open to qualified medical students who have completed at least two years in an accredited U.S. medical school.
Stipends: $12,000 per year.
