Cancer Portal Project of Center for Immigrant Health and Cancer Disparities
Helps cancer patients, including immigrants in New York City make sense of the hospital system. Connects patients with financial resources, like money and grants to help pay for transportation, co-pays and other cancer related needs. Connects patients with free food, legal help, housing advice, counseling services, nutrition guidance, cancer and treatment information and other social services. Immigration documents and legal status are not necessary, and counselling can be done in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi and Punjabi as well as other languages.
