South Asian Practice Partnership for Health Improvement and Research

Launched in 2010, South Asian Practice Partnership for Health Improvement and Research (SAPPHIRE) is a primary care based research network comprised of physicians/practices, researchers, and community organizations who all work to advance the health of South Asians in New York City, and the United States as a whole. SAPPHIRE seeks to develop a sustainable partnership to facilitate health research and to provide support to physicians and practices serving South Asian patients, by improving health literacy among South Asian patients, developing multilingual health resources and connecting patients with social services and supports.
