Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine Residency Program

The Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine Residency program is a rigorous and dynamic four-year training program. Our training is centered at Jacobi Medical Center, a large, public hospital and an ACS Designated Level I Trauma Center dedicated to providing exceptional care to its surrounding community. Montefiore sites, ranked among the top 10 busiest ERs in the nation, allow our residents to gain unparalleled training with high acuity patients in a busy, urban setting. Additionally, our residents gain valuable experience with trauma, point-of-care ultrasound, EMS, medical simulation, and EBM. Our program is also closely affiliated with the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM), a premiere, tertiary-care children’s hospital. Through Jacobi’s level 1 trauma pediatric ED and Montefiore’s pediatric ED, we are further distinguished by the exceptional pediatric component of our training.

Upon graduation, our residents are uniquely prepared to work adeptly in any clinical setting as they join the large, prestigious network of Jacobi alumni.
