Welcome to the Department of Developmental & Molecular
Biology. The department consists of 20 research groups studying the function of
complex biological systems using a wide variety of model organisms including drosophila,
zebrafish, mice and human cell culture. We use cutting edge techniques to
understand the processes involved in cell and tissue polarity, protein
processing and trafficking, stem cell fate decisions, and regulation of
cellular signaling in cancer, diabetes and other diseases.
