Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

Overview

The surgeons of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine have been providing comprehensive care and management for all orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions for more than 50 years. And throughout that time period we have been home to one of the largest and best training programs in the nation.

We provide care at the three inpatient hospitals that make up the Montefiore Medical Center, at the Hutchinson Metro Center, and at our Level I trauma center at Jacobi Medical Center.

Our faculty include General Orthopaedists, as well as fellowship-trained surgeons in all subspecialties of Orthaopedic Surgery, including Sports Medicine, Arthroplasty, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand Surgery, Spine and Spinal Deformity Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Pediatric Orthopaedics, and Musculoskeletal Tumor Surgery.

Our residents are graduate physicians from the finest medicals schools in the US. The residency program has produced over 500 orthopedic surgeons.
