HIV / Chronic Hepatitis / PrEP / STI Care The HIV track provides a myriad of opportunities to develop advanced expertise through focused clinical training and research in HIV care, HIV prevention, STIs, LGBTQIA+ care, and Hepatitis C. A plan is developed for each fellow in the track, tailored to meet their individual interests and career goals. Clinical HIV primary/specialty care and Hepatitis C treatment at Montefiore’s renowned, multispecialty Center for Positive Living (CPL)/ID Clinic 1 half-day/week in the 1st year 1 or more half-days/week in the 2nd year and beyond Clinic sessions at the multidisciplinary, multispecialty Oval Center at Montefiore, an outpatient center of excellence for STI care, HIV prevention (PEP, PrEP), and LGBTQIA+ care, with a new HIV program aimed at LGBTQIA+ individuals ages 16-30. 1 or more half-days/week in the 2nd year and beyond Clinical precepting by HIV, STI, HIV prevention, LGBTQIA+, or Hepatitis C experts at every session. Multidisciplinary support at each site. Additional opportunities are also available for training in trans care, buprenorphine therapy, advanced contraceptive care, and high resolution anoscopy. Research Clinical, epidemiologic, quality, translational, implementation science, or basic science research and other projects in HIV, HIV prevention, STIs, or Hepatitis C testing, care, prevention, and complications Opportunities for international HIV work Involvement in multi-centered NIH or industry-sponsored clinical trials Attendance at divisional clinical research meetings Planned presentation of research at IDWeek, CROI, International AIDS Society, ID Society of New York, Department of Medicine research symposia, and other meetings.
