Dr. Garcia's research program explores the clinical utility of non-invasive imaging for the management of patients with chest pain and heart failure, the 2 most common cardiovascular conditions that affect the US population. Specifically, his program is exploring: 1) the relative utility of anatomical vs. functional imaging in the evaluation of patients with acute chest pain, and 2) the role of strain imaging and Doppler indices of diastolic function in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiomyopathies. full bio>>
