eSIRIUS is the program used at Albert Einstein College of Medicine
(Einstein) for submission, review and approval of protocols and amendments. The
only person that may route protocols and amendments to the Institutional Animal
Care and Use Committee (IACUC) through eSIRIUS is the Principal Investigator
(PI) of the protocol.
The link to eSIRIUS is: https://einstein.esirius.cayuse.com/. However, please note the following prerequisites to login to eSIRIUS:
- You must be the PI of
the protocol or the person designated by the PI to access eSIRIUS. Please note
that currently, access to eSIRIUS is restricted to the PI and one (1) person
designated by the PI. To discuss or seek
a waiver to the restriction, you must contact Dr. Sunder Shrestha, the Animal
Welfare Officer.
- You must be listed in
eSIRIUS contact database.
- You must have an Einstein Active Directory (AD). For questions or assistance with AD, you must contact your Department Administrator.
- You should have completed a brief eSIRIUS training session with a member of the IACUC office (the Animal Welfare Officer, the Animal Program Compliance Coordinator, or the IACUC Grants Specialist).
Please note that if you attempt to login to eSIRIUS and have not been granted access, you will receive one of the following two error messages:
- Message 1: "Authentication Failed". You should contact the IACUC Office for further assistance.
- Message 2: "User account xxx from identity provider xxx does not exist in tenant 'Montefiore Medicine'...." Contact Montefiore IT (914.881.4554) for further assistance. Montefiore IT may need to add you to their database or reset your password. If Montefiore IT is unable to assist you, email Dr. Sunder Shrestha, the Animal Welfare Officer.
